Soloists are chosen by the Competition Directors, Emily Justinger & Kayla Washburn.

• Dancers interested in performing a solo must submit an application through our website.
  
  
• Soloist opportunities are determined based on meeting all of the following requirements:
  
  
• At least 4 consecutive years of ballet training (Hip Hop solos excluded)
  
  
• Strong technical ability
  
  
• A demeanor capable of handling pressure of performance and adjudication
  
  
• Acts as a leader in the classroom and consistently treats teachers and peers with respect
  
  
• Impeccable attendance
  
  
• Mastery of class curriculum and readiness for additional challenges
