SM Dance Company Terms & Agreement Waiver Δ Note: The Advanced Choreography Classes will now serve as the foundation for all SM Dance Company pieces. Commitment & Conduct Dancing with the SM Dance Company is a privilege. I will take this opportunity seriously and commit to maintaining an inclusive, positive attitude in all weekly classes, rehearsals, and performances. I understand the pressures of performing at a competitive level and will handle adjudication, results, and feedback with maturity, professionalism, and a constructive mindset. I will always treat my teachers, peers, and the studio environment with respect and dignity. Negative behavior toward peers and/or instructors will not be tolerated. If I conduct myself in a negative manner during class, rehearsal, performance, competition, or related events, I understand that I may be removed from the SM Dance Company and its dance pieces. Commitment to Dance & Attendance Dance is my first priority before other outside activities. I am allowed up to 3 absences per session from Advanced Choreography classes. Missing key rehearsals—especially those marked as mandatory—or multiple consecutive classes may result in being unable to participate in a performance or competition opportunity. When Advanced Choreography Classes are missed, I am responsible for learning the choreography I missed from my peers prior to the next class. If additional instruction is required from the teacher, I understand that a private lesson will need to be scheduled through the Parent Portal at $30 per half hour or $60 per hour, plus the associated processing fee, with the assigned instructor. Studio Values SM Dance is committed to fostering a supportive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students, families, and staff. All dancers and their families are expected to demonstrate kindness, cooperation, and respect toward instructors, classmates, and the studio environment at all times. Competition Dates & Pricing Each dancer and their family are responsible for reviewing the 2025–26 Competitions & Pricing document. If a scheduling conflict arises that would prevent a dancer from participating in any of the competitions, families are required to notify Kayla and Emily by email before any SM Dance Company choreography begins. All accounts must be current and up to date in order for dancers to participate in competitions.
